Butcher's Burgers
Ingredients:
• Four butcher's burgers
• Four burger buns
• Optional toppings: cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Grill or Pan:
• If using a grill, preheat it to medium-high heat.
• If using a stovetop, heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly oil it.
2. Cook the Burgers:
• Place the butcher's burgers on the preheated grill or in the hot pan.
• Depending on thickness and desired doneness, cook the burgers for 4-5 minutes per side. Ensure they are cooked through.
• If you prefer well-done burgers, cook until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (167°F). Use a meat thermometer to check.
3. Add Cheese (Optional):
• If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty at the last minute of cooking and cover it with a lid to melt the cheese.
4. Toast the Buns:
• While the burgers cook, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
5. Assemble the Burgers:
• Place each cooked patty on a toasted bun.
• You can add your favourite toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise.
6. Serve and Enjoy:
• Serve the burgers hot with your favourite sides, such as chips, coleslaw, or a fresh salad.
Tips for Perfect Burgers:
• Even Cooking: Ensure your burgers are of even thickness for consistent cooking.
• Check Temperature: Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the burgers' internal temperature reaches at least 75°C (167°F) to ensure they are safely cooked.
• Rest the Meat: To retain their juices, let the patties rest a few minutes after cooking.
